Style Staple: Ankle Booties

(via)

Ask any girl what her fall style staples are and she’s likely to include boots. Some like tall boots, but I’ve always been partial to the ankle variety. Don’t get me wrong...I love a good knee-high or over the knee boot, but there’s just something edgy and cool about booties, whether you’re rocking a heel or a flat. I love them with dresses and tights, leggings and jeans (so basically my entire fall and winter wardrobe.) Feel free to scroll through and shop my picks below! Are booties a style staple in your closet?

Sweater Weather

It’s finally time for sweaters in Dallas and I’m loving it. Layering is the trick...grab your favorite sweater and a button-up shirt, throw on a great necklace and you’re set. This ensemble is perfect for brunch with your girls, a day of shopping, or even drinks with your honey. (I wore it to a baby shower on over the weekend!)

Weddington Way October Style Challenge

Weddington Way asked me how I’d style one of their bridesmaid dresses, and I’m excited to share it with you today! I picked this Alfred Sung dress in Champagne; it had me at the bow. I’d pair it with romantic accessories, and top it off with a wedding-appropriate Kate Spade “Marry Me” clutch.

What do you think of my bridesmaid look? Would you be happy to stand next to the bride in this?

#TBT - Halloween Edition

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays, and being that it’s TBT, I thought I’d share this little DIY my sis and I put together a couple years ago. We made these fun Halloween fascinators, perfect for wearing to work or to add a little Halloween flair for the trick-or-treaters. All you need is a headband, spooky embellishments and some super glue. Easy peasy (aka the only type of DIYing I do!)

Little Black (Wedding Guest) Dress

There’s something magical about seeing two of your dear friends tie the knot...especially when they’re as in love as Leah and Kyle. I had the pleasure of attending their nuptials a couple weeks ago on a cool October night. The wedding started at 5 which is a tricky time to dress for, so I whipped out a LBD, layered on a statement bauble and added a pop of bright pink. The outfit proved to be a good decision...I was comfy enough to dance the night away (and have my wedding cake, too!)

P.S. I caught the bouquet!
