Beach Trip Essentials

Hat // Not only is it great for sun protection, but it hides frizzy hair on humid days. A cute hat can do double duty...wear it to the pool or to dinner after a day in the water.

Sunglasses // I never leave home without them. For me, the bigger the better.

Flip Flops //  I typically stock up at Old Navy; their flip flops are cheap, cute and comfortable. Perfect to wear down to the pool or with a casual dress.

Maxi Dresses // Let’s face it, aside from a bathing suit, sun dresses are all you really need to pack. A pretty maxi dress is the best way to stay comfy while looking pulled together...I lived in them when we went to Maui.

SPF 30 // If you’re going to be outside lotion up. I always recommend 30SPF of higher to my patients. Apply 20-30 minutes before heading out and re apply every 3 hours, or after being in the water. I promise, you will still get some color!

Do you have a beach essential that’s not on my list? I’d love to hear. xx - E

  2. All of those are definitely beach must haves for ladies. Well, these are my don't-leave-home-without-them items that are essentials for the beach: swimsuit, roomy beach tote, colorful cover-up, sun hat, flat sandals or flip flops, oversized sunglasses, lots of sunscreen, beach towel, fabric headband, an umbrella, camera, music player, sand toys for my kids and a few beauty essentials.

  3. These are all on my list as well! I would probably just add a beach bag to carru everything I need. I'm glad I found your blog Erin, it's lovely :)
